About This Tour

This 2-day adventure to Machu Picchu offers an unforgettable experience for those looking to combine a scenic hike with a guided exploration of the Lost City of the Incas. This is the only tour that allows you to see Machu Picchu TWICE!!  The journey begins early at 4:00 AM with a private pickup from your hotel in Cusco, followed by a 2-hour drive to Ollantaytambo, where we switch to a scenic tourist train ride to Km 104. This is the starting point of our incredible hike along the Short Inca Trail (15km/9.5miles). Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, the trek gradually ascends to Wiñay Wayna, one of the most beautiful Incan ruins on the trail. After exploring and having lunch, we continue hiking to Inti Punku (Sun Gate), where you will enjoy your first breathtaking view of Machu Picchu. From here, we descend to the archaeological site but won’t explore it yet. Instead, we take the bus down to Aguas Calientes, where you will check into your hotel. Your guide will coordinate dinner and discuss the next day’s itinerary.

The following morning, after breakfast, your guide will meet you at your hotel and walk with you to the bus station for the ride up to Machu Picchu. You will have 2-3 hours of guided exploration of the citadel, where your guide will explain its history, architecture, and significance. Afterward, you will return to Aguas Calientes, where your guide will provide restaurant recommendations before catching the Expedition train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, private transportation will take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

IMPORTANT! Inca trail is closed in February and closures can be extended due to weather.

• Entrance Fees: 2 Day Inca Trail ticket and Machu Picchu Ticket are included, allowing you to focus on the experience without any additional costs.
• Bus Transfers Between Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu
  Round-trip bus tickets for the ascent and descent to/from the site.
• Expedition Train Service: Provides cozy seating, large windows for scenic views, and basic onboard amenities.  Your guide will sit near you on the train. If you want to upgrade to Vistadome service there will be an additional fee
• Delicious organic meals: Includes 1 lunches and 1 dinners.
• Hotel Pickup and Drop-off: We provide convenient pickup and drop-off services from your hotel in Cusco, making your experience seamless.

What to Bring:

Valid Passport (No photocopies), Sunscreen, insect repellant, sun hat, camera, rain gear, comfortable walking shoes, day backpack, snacks, water, Peruvian soles for souvenirs/tip, change of clothing with layers, trekking poles (required to have a rubber cover or rent poles from us for $10)
