Make a Difference in the Peruvian Andes
Yachay Travel is committed to responsible and sustainable tourism. Our volunteer program offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich culture and natural beauty of Peru while making a positive impact on local communities.
We are committed to projects that both preserve cultural heritage and also enhance child nutrition in the small, often isolated communities of the Cusco region. Throughout the year, we travel to these villages, some hours away from the nearest town, to offer support and resources. Our goal is to improve health, foster pride in the Quechua language and culture, and remind these communities that they are valued and not forgotten. Many of the schools we visit lack essential supplies, with little external support available. For those studying the Quechua language, this is a meaningful opportunity to apply your knowledge and make a tangible impact.

“My partner and I did the tour of the Sacred Valley. Our tour guide knew the area and the people so well and gave pit stops for local culture (eg we tried chicha (corn beer) ate cuy (guinea pig!), toured a local market, ate empanadas baked in a century old stone oven - all the while Manuel was so good natured (and he was a great photographer as well)”MikeTraveller

“All of your thoughtful arrangements worked perfectly and we had a lovely time everywhere we went in your wonderful country. Fondest regards from Canada.”AnthonyTraveller
