About This Tour
Discover the untouched beauty of the Sacred Valley’s high-altitude lakes on this full-day Kinsa Cocha Tour. Your adventure begins with a 7:00 AM hotel pickup, followed by a scenic drive to Pisaq, where we’ll make a brief stop to pick up snacks for the hike. From there, we continue to the trailhead near Azul Ccocha, the first of three breathtaking Andean lakes. Our moderate trek begins here, winding through rolling hills, pristine lagoons, and dramatic mountain landscapes. After 2 to 2.5 hours of hiking, we’ll reach Puma Ccocha, a serene lake framed by dramatic rock formations. The trail then descends toward Kinsa Cocha. Before arriving at the final lake, we’ll pause for a homemade lunch prepared by a local woman—an authentic taste of traditional Andean cuisine. The final stretch of the hike takes about an hour, offering chances to spot alpacas, geese, and other native wildlife. Before leaving the Paru Paru community, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the diverse potato varieties grown by the community and have the chance to experience firsthand the traditional tools used in their planting and harvest. The day ends with a relaxing drive back to Cusco, arriving in the late afternoon.
